Now the young people of Zolotonosha have an opportunity to get social services for free, as well as to access Internet, to obtain additional knowledge and skills which would help them find their places in a modern world. Besides, the young people will have their own space to communicate and discuss their problems in order to make joint decisions for a positive influence on their live.
UNDP Project “Human Security for Ukrainian Youth” Manager Mrs. Oksana Garnets, Project's expert on youth centres development Mrs. Ludmila Boyko joined other guests and the new Centre's staff, local authorities and community’s representatives in the opening ceremony. The City Council of Zolotonosha has kindly found a venue for the Centre. The ceremony participants wished all the best to the community members who would use the Centre's services and try finding meaningful solutions, bringing hopes of better life for their community.
“Collaboration of UNDP Project ‘Human Security for Ukrainian Youth” and the Youth Centre will not end with the ribbon cut. We are going to implement numerous joint social projects”, Mrs. Oksana Garnets said. Also she encouraged everyone who deals with the youth issues to help the newly established institution prosper.
The Centre's first visitors made a small tour of the premises, while its leaders presented the Centre's spacious rooms, computers, comfortable furniture, information dispensers, and play-ground corner for young families with children.
Zolotonosha Youth Centre becomes the 5th centre that was opened with support from UNDP Project “Human security for Ukrainian youth”. Following the trainings conducted by the Project, new centres are going to be opened in Chyhyryn, Sosnytsya and other Ukrainian cities and villages.
